Where the Journey Began

Blossom Academy on the Square was founded on a shared dream and a deep commitment to early childhood education. Our founders, Heather Reeder and Sarai Torralba, first met while working together at a local childcare center, where they discovered a mutual passion for creating nurturing, enriching, and intentional learning environments for young children. Years later, they reunited with a bold vision: to build a school that reflects their values, one rooted in community, compassion, and high-quality early education. That vision became Blossom Academy!

Our Teachers
Leading the Way

Driven by Purpose, Not Profit

As a nonprofit early childhood education center, every dollar we receive is reinvested directly into our program, enhancing our curriculum with engaging, research-based learning experiences, supporting and training our educators, and improving our classrooms and environment to inspire curiosity, creativity, and growth. We’re not driven by profit, we’re driven by purpose. Founded by educators rather than investors, Blossom Academy centers the needs of children and families, operating as a mission-first nonprofit focused on long-term impact and a brighter future for all.

The Heart of Blossom Academy

We believe that early childhood is a time to explore, create, and build the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. Our values guide how we care, teach, and partner with families.

Our values and educational approach include:

Nurturing Every Child

We view each child as unique and full of potential. Our caring staff creates a safe and supportive environment where children feel seen, heard, and valued.

Learning Through Play

We follow a play-based, hands-on curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Children learn best when they’re having fun and following their natural interests.

Whole-Child Development

We support every stage of growth, encompassing social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development, to ensure children are well-prepared for school and life.

Strong Relationships

We believe in open communication and meaningful partnerships with families, because learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.
